We’re excited to see what you build! These requirements are designed to help you showcase your work :)
Demo Video (Required)
- Minimum 30 seconds
- Must demonstrate:
--> What your project does / what problem does it solve?
--> How a user would interact with it
- Optional: Brief explanation of how you built it, challenges you faced
- A simple screen recording with voiceover is perfect, no need for anything fancy!
Project Write-Up (Required)
- Project name
- What is your project?
- Why did you choose this idea?
- What tools, languages, or platforms did you use?
- What features did you implement?
- (Optional) What would you add or improve with more time?
Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
-
Technical Difficulty
Is the hack technically interesting or difficult? Were there real technical challenges to surmount? This is the most important criterion that your hack will be judged upon for the general prizes. -
Originality
Is the hack more than just another generic social/mobile/local app? Does it do something entirely novel, or at least take a fresh approach to an old problem? -
Polish
Is the hack usable in its current state? Is the user experience smooth? Does everything appear to work? Is it well designed? -
Usefulness
Is the hack practical? Is it something people would actually use?
